Malcolm Gladwell shares common thread among successful dyslexics.
Malcolm Gladwell spoke with Fareed Zakaria on October 27, 2013 and shared the common thread that highly successful dyslexic people have. It isn't what I thought. It is NOT early identification and direct and explicit multisensory language training (though I can't imagine that this is not part of it), but having at least one person believe in him/her.
Parents and teachers, please remember this when you see a child struggling but perhaps has other strengths or develops compensating skills.
The video clip isn't available yet but will be in the future. Its worth a listen.
